English Rose: Rincon

And this is another appreciation post for Rincon. Today we are going to be talking about restaurant that serves brunch called “The English Rose”.

“The English Rose” is a bed and breakfast located in Rincon, Puerto Rico.

Something very important for you to know that theres two ways to get to the restaurant. One is literally one way road. Like you can’t barely pass an suv through it and the other way fits two cars.

The moral of the story is that never let the GPS get the power of taking the lead on road trips folks, in this particular case ask a local if you rant up for a scary adventure.

Even though that arriving there is super stressful the view up there is amazing same as the food.

The style of food is pretty American. They serve French toasts, Bloody Marys, Ginger with lemonade, Waffles, ect. Something pretty different that what you can find in a local restaurant excluding the restaurant chains.

This is some of the things that we order in the restaurant. Something that I can say is that all the food that was served to us was felt that it was homemade, from the bread, to the sausage to the ginger lemonade.

Making you kind of wanting to you come again after that difficult trip to get down there. Because is actually shocking that they restaurant is up there and that is always full.

Something that you have to know is that to eat there you need to reserve your space. Because they aren’t open all day same as they open for 4 days from Thursday to Sunday and you have to show up 10 minutes before the time of your reservation.

I give this restaurant a 7/10. Even though that this restaurant is great… I think that they should get a trolley just because the one way road is pretty dangerous.

Domes Beach: Rincon

Domes Beach is located near the light house in Rincon. Where its well known by surfers because of the good waves. Where annually is celebrated in March the Corona Surf Contests.

Some history about it is that the huge Dome was an old nuclear power plant of boiling water. Where it was constructed during 1960 and they stopped operations in 1968 due that the locals on that area started to have Cancer same as they say that still the area has a lot of radiation, currently is a museum.

This place is beautiful if you enjoy looking the surfers and looking at the sea. I recommend you to visit this place and take some surfing clases.

This is a place that really gets packed of people. This place is pretty small same as is pretty well known. My mom has been going to since when she was in collage and that was over 20 years ago. So this place is really well known through that area.

Personally I have been coming to this place since I was 12 and have been coming since. Like when I am chilling in the beach with my family or just when we want something fried.

Same as if you want to go to a place that has a beach view and have a nice time with your family I really Really recommend it.

If you visit this place the things that I recommend is “Empanadilla de Jueyes” that is a type of crab, “Empanadilla de Langosta” that is from lobster, “Empanadilla de Camarones” that is from shrimp and if you feel kind of adventurous I recommend the one of shark.

My rating for this place 10/1o

The Cabachuela Caverns

The Cabachuela Caverns are located in Morovis, Puerto Rico. Its composed of 6 caverns where you visit 3 of them. If you are interested you can write them to their web page on facebook “Las Cabachuelas de Morovis”.

The volounteers that are working in the caverns are looking up to teach and preserve the history of the “tainos” that once lived in the caves. Because most of the people that lives on that area of Morovis doesn’t know about it the caves neither the history that are in them.

In this place you can find a lot of different eco systems and the different insects that live inside the caverns.

This place is beautiful and really is a new adventure. I recommend if you go in a tour with them go in some shoes that can get dirty and some long pants or leggings.

This place is to go to if you are looking up for an adventure inside the island or if you want to challenge your self to do something new. This is a great place to take children so they have contact with nature and learn new things about the past.

My rating is 10/10.

We have stayed in Rincon Of The Seas Various times. It has a great a great beach. Even though that after Hurricane Maria Rincon has lost part of their shore.

This is a great place to go with your family, to enjoy a beach day and to eat a lot. Some things that you can do is to go to the Light house, El Ultimo Brinco or you can go surfing on Domes Beach, The Gastropark@115, the Thursday Art walk and the restaurants that are are on the town. Some of them are Capriccio Trattoria, De Bocas, Roots Restaurant, The English Rose and many more.

The Gastropark@115 is a great place to eat! It has various things like pizza, hamburgers , tacos, asian food, etc. And more than a great place to it has a nice family friendly environment.

Rincon is a great place to go to in the summer and have some fun with your family and friends. In my opinion is one of the places where it has the best beaches in Puerto Rico. If you are going to vacay in Puerto Rico this is your go to.

Small family Trip

“Hornblower Niagara Falls” Photo Taken by Stephanie Sepulveda

My family and I decided to go to Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada on May 2018. I was going to graduate that same year so my parents decided to do a car trip.

In 2015 we went for the first time to Canada and visited  Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Ottawa and Ontario. Making my undying love for Canada.

Since in this trip we had such a short amount of time (4 days),
we decided to stay in the Falls area.

I recommend to bring kids ages 6 and older, due to the long in lines and the waing time making kids uncomfortable.

On the other hand around that area where you can bring samaller children because theres a mini golf,  go carts and an arcade.

A great thing that they do in summer is that they throw fireworks and really makes the expirice pretty magical.

This is a small vid of what it happened there.
